AYSO Soccer

This program is NOT offered through the Valley Center Recreation Commission. However, AYSO rents our fields at McKay Soccer Complex on North Emporia Street. Here is a link to the Valley Center AYSO region;

Baseball, Softball & T-ball

Registration is January through early March. Practices begin at the end of March and the season runs from May through the first week of July. Eligible ages are 7-14 for boys and 7-15 for girls.

T-ball registration is in February, practices start in April with games beginning just after Memorial Day. T-ball is for boys and girls, ages 5 & 6.


Registration for the 1st & 2nd grade 5-week camp is in November. Registration 3rd & 4th grade division takes place in October, practices in December and games begin in January.

Registration for the 5th & 6th grade division takes place in September, practices in November and games start in January. Both programs end in February.


Registration for flag football is in August, games are September and October. This program is for 3rd through 6th grade boys and girls. The Start Smart program develops basic motor skills for football without the threat of getting hurt. Sessions are weekly for 4-6 weeks and designed for 1st and 2nd grade boys and girls.


Valley Point Golf Course offers a Junior Summer Golf Program for kids ages 9 to 12 years old. The junior league takes place every June and concludes with a tournament.


Celebrating their 31st year with VCRC!

Karate is offered throughout the year on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The class is for families or individuals; men, women, boys and girls ages 6 and up.


Registration generally takes place in August. The instructional session begins in September and scrimmages are in October. This program is for girls from 3rd grade through 6th grade.

3-month sessions throughout the year, complete with showcase at end of session. Saturday afternoons. Open gym and private lessons available Friday nights, must be enrolled in session.


A weightlifting-cardio mix. The focus is getting your heart rate up using weights or body weight. Held in the VCRC office bay.

REFIT pairs powerful moves with positive music for an hour-long cardio workout–with elements of strengthening, toning, flexibility, and balance. The music and environment is family-friendly and the workout is for more than your body. This isn’t fitness for the fittest…it’s fitness for the willing!

Stretch & Stability

This class is designed to target flexibility, balance and range of motion, and is suitable for all fitness levels. Modifications will be provided for those with physical limitations as well as for those desiring more of a challenge.

Tennis Clinic & Camp

We offer Spring and Fall Tennis Clinics for 1st through 5th grade and 6th through 12th grade.

We also provide Summer Tennis Camps for beginners and Middle School ages.
